HOW TO TEACH PIANO LESSONS
How to Teach Piano Lessons is a must have How to Book for becoming a piano teacher. It has everything you need to know to start a business teaching music. Beginning with finding the right piano, how to acquire students, interview strategies for potential students, how to determine the fee you should charge, arranging a teaching structure and schedule parents will be amenable to and, most of all, effectively teach the skill and joy of playing a musical instrument to every type of student you encounter.
Most importantly, this book includes my twenty-nine best teaching tips to establish the student-teacher relationship, ranging from the motivational skills needed to inspire a challenged learner, to dealing with the "perfectionist student".
THE KEY OF C
"The Key of C" is an original piano course written only using the white piano keys. The black keys are only used to help visually establish a fingering position on the keyboard.
There is no need to learn scales or complicated key signatures. All the music is written simply in the key of C.
By first learning all songs which are written in the key of C, the new piano student can BEGIN with both hands playing together in a basic five finger position. There is a strong emphasis on beginning music reading skills. Ten notes are learned and good hand positioning is established.
Rhythm and harmony concepts are introduced slowly and thoroughly. When students finish "The Key of C", they have mastered simple music skills and have learned to play 21 fun songs. This book will even help you in Becoming a Piano Teacher because it is so simple and fun to use.
